Learn About Dentures

Removable dental replacements, or dentures, are a common service that Dr. Woodall provides. He offers complete dentures (for when all teeth are missing) and partial dentures (for when some teeth are missing).

For patients who don’t mind taking a little more time to get their dentures fabricated and fitted, there are conventional dentures. However, for patients who want their new smile NOW, there immediate dentures.

What’s the difference?

  • Conventional dentures are made after all the affected teeth have been removed and are placed 8-12 weeks later, once the mouth has fully healed.
  • Immediate dentures are made in advance and can be positioned as soon as the teeth are removed.
  • With conventional dentures, the fit is usually accurate and comfortable from the beginning, and patients will keep them for several years.
  • Immediate dentures will need to be realigned and adjusted as the mouth and jawbone heal.

You may need dentures for any number of reasons, and we promise to communicate with you throughout the process and provide you with the best dental care possible, no matter which option you choose.

Dentures can solve a wide range of problems if who have lost your teeth or had them removed. With dentures,
you can use your mouth more normally again and regain the confidence to live your life to the fullest!
